Local leaderboards

Every player in Capture The Map is on a leaderboard: the town around wherever they currently hold ground. The standings are simply who holds the most hexes in that town right now. Move to a different town or city and you are on a different leaderboard on the same map.

Global totals are a vanity stat. The leaderboard that matters is the one on your own doorstep, and it is winnable: a town with a handful of players is a leaderboard you can top outright.
